Sporocorpse
Overview
Inspired by the aesthetics of Victorian medical equipment, This piece explores my experiences with mental illness and medical mistreatment. The mushrooms reference parasitic cordyceps fungi which infect and coopts the muscular system of insects, leading it to its death.
This was my first experience with body casting and allowed me to experiment with casting multiple different body parts.
2024
Paper sculptures
Overview
As part of a team with other design students we created large scale sculptures of musicians from nothing but paper and packing tape (with scaffolding armature). This was an excellent learning experience in the principles of sculpting and capabilities of such simple, inexpensive materials.
